Friendly people who I need to repeat themselves.

Edinburgh is a gorgeous city! It's split into two parts. The Old Town and the New Town. The Old Town portion is from the 1500s and the New Town is a splendid example of Georgian architecture and layout. In the old town there are little alleyways and close's just wide enough for two people to pass each other in. They lead to big open air squares or sometimes to another street. I got decided to get some culture and go to the theatre. I saw the Lieutenant of Inishmore and flashed my student ID to get 14 pounds knocked off the price. You can even get student discounts on food here. This has been the friendliest city I've been to so far. It's incredibly easy to strike up a conversation in a pub, especially when they find out where I'm from. I met someone from Shetland, the most northeast island of Scotland, and he explained in great detail about these Viking longboats people will painstakingly build all year long. Ornate carvings, bold dragon heads on the front, the whole nine yards. They commit themselves to these for a year, then at the end of January they burn them. I mean they have a party and torch the suckers. All on an island with no trees haha. Lots of meeting people, ancient castles, art museums, and of course cold weather. Oh, and a Robin Hood Lego post tomorrow.

At 1 o'clock a cannon is fired. Historically, it was to keep time consistent and accurate for everyone. Now, it's just for a big BANG and funsies.

Crazy locking mechanism of a chest.
