I left Nice to head to Barcelona. Barcelona was the home Antoni Gaudi. I went to some of the houses, he designed, the park, he designed, and of course his La Sagrada Familia. A church he designed that is still under construction, not only because it is massive but because he hardly left any plans when passed away. So a lot of the construction is now figuring out what he would have wanted, I'm sure you can guess how smooth that process is. I hardly slept in Barcelona, while the nightlife is astounding (which contributed to a couple late nights) the atmosphere in the city is one where you just don't want to go to sleep. There was a concert in a park one night that went until 3:30 or so in the morning. One Sunday all the museums in Mont Juic were free from 10 PM to 2 AM. I usually went to sleep about 4 every night. Not even partying, just things start and finish much later there. Actually in all of Spain I haven't gone to bed before 3 at all. It's just so easy to stay up late. I saw the Picasso museum and the Joan Miro museum there. The temporary exhibition at the Miro museum by Mona Hatoum was astounding.

I met and made friends with an Architectural Photographer from Melbourne who wanted to shoot a couple of buildings in Valencia so I traveled there with him and that's where I just left. Post that in a few days. Right now my bus is arriving back in Barcelona so I can leave tomorrow to fly to ISTANBUL!
